New Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Triage System
As a Practice we are undergoing some alterations to working patterns to try to guarantee a good provision to our Practice Population going forward in the years to come.
Ruth Crawford has been employed at the Practice for many years as a Practice Nurse. She has already undergone, and continues to undertake, significant additional training in diagnosis, management and prescribing to allow her to change her role to ANP. Ruth will be taking on an ever increasing role with patients who feel they need to be seen on the same day allowing GPs to have more pre-bookable, longer appointments.
The ANP can see you on the day for the following:
Emergency contraception Diarrhoea
Acute back pain Urinary tract infections
Shingles Vomiting
Rashes Swollen glands
Chest infection Cystitis
Thrush/vaginal discharge Tonsillitis
Earache Flu like illnesses
Infestations Cough
Sexually transmitted infections Skin problems
What ANP CANNOT deal with
Problems associated with pregnancy
Mental health issues
Children under 5 years old
We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.
Serving You
Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
Access
There is access to the health centre for the disabled from both the main entrance and via the car park entrance. There is also a lift allowing access to the upper floor of the centre.
