When We Are Closed

doctors_bag3After 18:00 and during weekends should you require a doctor’s advice, please telephone 0141 531 6475, and your call will be redirected to NHS 24.

Emergency Care Summary

If you attend the out of hours care centre you will be asked if the staff there may access your Emergency Care Summary.  This gives them information on your previous 30 days prescriptions, together with any allergies the practice knows of.  If you do not want this information made available to GEMS, please let the practice know.

NHS 24

Provides a 24 hour nurse consultation and health information service, their local rate telephone number is 111

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
